Printers and 3MF downloads
Tools that make or read a model show a 3D preview with a printer list underneath. Pick your printer once; every tool remembers it in this browser.
What you get
| Download | Best for |
|---|---|
| 3MF for your printer | Opening straight in your slicer, ready to slice |
| STL | Any slicer or printer, or sharing the model |
| GLB | Web 3D viewers, AR on phones, design tools |
| Screenshot (PNG) | Listings, quotes and messages. Always free |
What's inside the 3MF
- The model, centred on your printer's bed, sitting flat on the plate.
- A thumbnail, so your slicer's file browser shows what it is.
- Print settings for the quality you picked, written into the file for that one object:
| Setting | Layers | Walls | Infill | Top / bottom |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | 0.20 mm | 2 | 15% | 5 / 3 |
| Fine | 0.12 mm | 3 | 15% | 7 / 5 |
| Draft | 0.28 mm | 2 | 10% | 4 / 3 |
| Strong | 0.20 mm | 4 | 40% gyroid | 6 / 5 |
- No brim, unless the part is more than four times taller than its narrowest side. Then it gets a small 3 mm outer brim so it doesn't tip over.
Everything else (temperatures, speeds, cooling, supports) comes from your printer's own profile in the slicer, which its maker keeps up to date.
Opening it in your slicer
- Open your slicer and pick your printer's profile (the preview tells you which one, for example "Anycubic Kobra X 0.4 nozzle").
- Open the 3MF. If the slicer asks whether to load the settings in the file, choose yes.
- Pick your filament and slice.
The 3MF works in Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, Anycubic Slicer Next, Snapmaker Orca, Creality Print, Elegoo Slicer and PrusaSlicer.
Tuned printers
Most printers use their maker's own profile plus the settings above. The Anycubic Kobra X also gets settings tuned from real test prints: Arachne walls (better on thin walls and rings), no slow-down on gently leaning walls, and faster inner walls and infill within the printer's limits.
Does it fit?
The preview checks the part against your printer's bed and height, and says so in green or red. Turning a part 90° on the bed counts as fitting. See every printer's bed size on Supported printers.
