  1. Examples for every tool

    • Every tool now has ready-made examples that open it already filled in: on its new Examples tab, on its overview, and as chips inside the tool.
    • STL Inspector has sample files to try without your own STL.

  2. Guides, FAQs and updates for every tool

    • Every tool page now has tabs: Overview, Guide, FAQ, Updates and, when there are posts, Blog.
    • New changelog for the whole site, with an RSS feed for each tool.
    • New supported printers page with bed sizes and the slicer presets to pick.
    • Tool pages get a Help link in the top bar.

  3. 3D preview and printer-ready downloads

    • Tools that make or read a model now show it in 3D, with flat top, front and side views and sizes in millimetres.
    • Download a 3MF set up for your printer, or an STL or GLB. Screenshots are always free.
    • 22 printers from Anycubic, Bambu Lab, Snapmaker, Creality, Elegoo and Prusa.

  4. Easier to get around

    • The top of every tool page has a back button to all your tools and a list of every tool beside the logo.
    • The site header is now a floating bar, and your Dashboard, Billing and Account tabs are calmer.
    • Text is now set in Inter.

  5. MakeMyIdea is live

    • One account for every tool, free and paid plans in CAD, and three tools to start: Box Maker, Filament Cost and STL Inspector.
